They are made out of various materials, designs and purposes. When looking for an desk chair cushion you want to make sure that it fits the chair you have in your office. You also want to make sure that it suites your needs. For example: You don't want to spend the money for one of seat cushions designed to help you get out of your chair if you are only looking for a softer seat.
Another thing you can do to improve your chair is look at the seat back cushions. These are much like the seat cushions, except they attach to the back of your desk chair offering support to the back and giving added comfort at the same time.
Before you purchase a new chair, be sure and research the desk chair cushions for both the seat and the back. They are rather inexpensive and can make drastic improvements to your comfort level while sitting.
